Iowa’s February Unemployment Statistics

Iowa’s February unemployment statistics have been released. According to the data, the state’s unemployment fell from 3% in January, to 2.9% in February. The state’s labor force participation rate has fallen to 67.2 % with 1,650,700 Iowans currently working.

In southeast Iowa, unemployment percentages stayed the same when compared to January. Washington County stands with a 4.4% unemployment rate, Van Buren and Henry County 3.6%, Jefferson County 3.2%, and Wapello County with a 4% unemployment rate.

The total number of unemployed Iowans decreased to 50,200 in February, down from January’s 50,900.
