IHCC Basketball #14 in Preseason Poll

The Indian Hills Men’s Basketball team will open the season at No. 14 in the preseason National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Men’s Basketball poll, announced by the national committee Monday afternoon. The Warriors received 168 points in the preseason poll.

Under first-year head coach Josh Sash, the Warriors are coming off a run to the NJCAA DI Men’s Basketball Final Four in Hutchinson, KS. Indian Hills posted a 29-5 overall record during the 2022-23 campaign on its way to the team’s seventh all-time top-four finish at the Hutchinson Sports Arena.

This year’s preseason poll, topped by Northwest Florida State College, features six programs ranked inside the top-20 that appear on Indian Hills’ schedule this year, including four of the top-six programs. The Warriors will travel to Northwest Florida State on November 14 in Niceville, FL. The Warriors will also host No. 2 South Plains College (TX) and defending national champs and preseason No. 4 John A. Logan College (IL) at the RV & Power Sport Classic inside the Hellyer Center December 1 and 2.

Indian Hills will take on long-time league foe Southeastern Community College, ranked No. 12 in the preseason poll, in a pair of Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) contests during the second part of the regular season.  The Warriors are set to kick off their season November 7 with a road trip to McCook Community College in McCook, NE.
