Fairfield Volleyball Advances to 3A Regional Semifinals

Fairfield Volleyball has advanced to the 3A Region 8 Semifinals with their 3-0 win over Davis County last night. Fairfield posted wins of 25/15 – 25/13 and 25/21 to move on. The Trojans were led by Maddie Jones with 19 assists, Lilly Bergren had 9 kills, Claire Thompson 3 blocks and Savannah Hollander 9 digs.    

Fairfield will no travel to Davenport Assumption for a matchup with the #4 Knights who are 25 and 7 on the year. Assumption advanced with their 3-0 win over Washington. 

Elsewhere last evening: Albia advances in 3A with a 3-0 win over Centerville. And in 4A Burlington won in straight sets over Ft Madison, as did Keokuk over Mt Pleasant. 

Quarterfinal action continues tonight with Cardinal at West Burlington, Van Buren at Wilton. Sigourney host Bell Plain and Keota is at N Tama
