Fairfield Drops Homecoming Game and SE Iowa Scores

Keokuk Jr quarterback Benton Hoard was too much Friday night for the Fairfield Trojans as Chiefs spoiled homecoming with a 30-13 win. Hoard was 20/29 passing for 245 yards and 2 TD’s, Hoard also ran the ball 16 times for 170 yards a score. Keokuk took a 10-nothing lead into halftime and the Trojans could not recover. Fairfield was led by Cason Miller who had 23 carries for 207 yards and a touchdown, Sam Weaton on 2/9 passing for 30 yards and a score, and Bode Hoskins had 1 catch for 18 yards. Hoskins also had 4.5 tackles. The loss dropped the Trojans to 2-2 on the season as they prepare to take on Benton Community on Friday at Van Horne.
