Fairfield 106 Pounder Cael McCabe Advances to Championship Match

Fairfield’s 106 pounder Cale McCabe advances to the finals at the IHSAA State Wrestling Tournament with an 8-4 victory in the semifinals against Urijah Courter of Nevada to reach the finals. 

McCabe, a Sophomore went into the state tournament as the 3rd ranked wrestler as determined by Flowrestling. Courter was ranked #4. McCabe has also had wins over #9 Charlie Boelman and #6 Coy Mahlert 

McCabe is set to wrestle #1 ranked Klayten Perreault, a senior from Mount Vernon for the state title Saturday at a time to be determined.
