Cross Country Assignments Released
The State has released next week’s XC State Qualifying Assignments. Fairfield will take the course in Pells on Wednesday. The field will also see Ft Madison, Keokuk, Mt Pleasant, Oskaloosa, Washington along with 8 other regional squads.
In Class 2A Cardinal and Davis County will be at Williamsburg. In 1A Pekin will travel to Eldora, while Van Buren will be at Iowa City Regina. Both 1A and 2A qualifiers will be ran on Thursday. Ottumwa harriers will run Wednesday at Southeast Polk.
The state meet in Fort Dodge is also split over two days, with 2A and 1A racing on Friday, October 28, followed by 4A and 3A races on Saturday, October 29. In 2A, 3A and 4A, the first three teams, plus the first 15 individual place winners will qualify for the state meet. The first two teams, plus the first 10 individual place winners will qualify for the state meet from each of the class 1A state qualifying meets.
