Cason Miller Advances In Consolation Matches at State Wrestling Meet

Cason Miller continued to advance through the consolation matches at 157 Thursday, he took a 10-6 decision over Brody Hanson of Decorah, to set up a meeting with Blake Wilson Burlington Notre Dame this morning. Miller and Wilson ended the final period tied at 1 point apiece. Miller was given his point after a pair of stalling calls on Hanson, and Miller had an escape. In the overtime Cason got a takedown at the :27 second mark to move forward., setting up a rematch with Taevyn Zinnel of Algona, who beat Miller 2-1 in the second round on Wednesday. The winner of that match will have a chance to wrestle for 3rd place at 157 Saturday.
