3rd Annual “Walk For Nohema” Scheduled For Saturday At Chautauqua Park

The 3rd Annual “Walk for Nohema” is scheduled for Saturday at Chautauqua Park. The walk, organized by the Fairfield High School Student Council is in remembrance of the late Nohema Graber, a Spanish teacher at FHS from 2012 until her passing at age 66 in 2021. The Walk for Nohema will take place from 10 AM until noon, and refreshments will be supplied. Prior to the event, T-shirts will be available for purchase. A silent auction will also be held at 11:45 AM with Clubs, corporations, families, and organizations donating baskets for the silent auction.

Proceeds from the walk will benefit the Graber memorial scholarship. According to Heidi Grunwald, the Student Council advisor, the school generated $3,491 in 2023 and $12,000 in 2022 through contributions and fundraising associated with the Walk for Nohema.
