In Cross Country action last evening at Waterworks Park, it was Washington taking the top spot in the large school division  on the boys side. Ft Madison, Mt Pleasant followed with the host Trojans finishing 5th. 

Small school division was won by Mediapolis followed by Columbus Jct and Van Buren. EBF finished 6th with Cardinal finishing 7th  

Individual leaders were Micah Rees of Washington with a time of 15:49, followed by Owen Schmidgall of Mediapolis at 16:53 and Jackson Shacklett of Washington at 17:08. Top Fairfield finishers were 7th place Nate Konczal with a 18:35 and Gabe Tejada at 19:39   

On the girls side, it was Mt Pleasant taking the large school division followed by Fairfield and Oskaloosa. Small schools were led by EBF them Mediapolis and Lone Tree. 

Individual leaders included Avery Rump of FT Madison with the top time of 20:19 followed by Hanna Karre of Keokuk at 21:04. Top area finishers included Trojan Carley Seeley at 22:15 good for a 12th place finish, and Malena Bloomquist with a time of 23:55. A pair of Van Buren Warriors finished 15th and 16th, Rylee Philips 15th at 22:31 and Kaylay Snowgren 16th at 22:43
