Shortly after 9pm Wednesday night 911 dispatcher’s at the Jefferson county law center received a call of a female in the water at the low-water Crossing at Cedar Creek off Kale Boulevard. The caller stated that the woman had been in the water for about an hour and they could not find her. The Fairfield fire department was paged out arriving just a few minutes later. As a plan was formulated with other first responders, the women could be heard downstream calling for help.
Responders located her and helped her out of the water where she was immediately taken to Emergency Medical personnel for evaluation. The Fairfield fire department was assisted on scene with members of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department, Fairfield Police Department, Libertyville first responders and fire department, Jefferson County emergency management and Personnel from Care ambulance.
