Washington WW2 Veteran Receives The French National Order of the Legion of Honor Medal

A Washington World War Two Veteran has received the French National Order of the Legion of Honor Medal, which was designed by Nepolian Boneapart in 1802. Marion Turnipseed served in the U.S. Army Air Core during World War Two as a crew member of a B-25 which flew over Nazi-occupied Europe and has been labeled a Knight of the Order. Turnipseed was supposed to receive this medal from the French Consulate roughly four years ago, however, the pandemic delayed the presentation until now. According to him, the consulate is still working to identify every soldier that served in World War Two.
