Jefferson County’s unemployment rate dropped from 4.8% in February down to 4.3% in March as rates dropped across the board in our listening area.
Davis County went from a 3.9% to 3.4%, Henry from a 4.5% to an even 4%. Keokuk County was nearly a full percentage point lower going from 5.7% to 4.8%.
Van Buren County dropped more than a full percentage point dropping down to 3.9% from an even 5%.
Wapello County went from 5.3% to 4.7% and Washington County from 5.1% to 4.2%.
The State remained at 3.7% in March from the revised rate of the same in February. In the U.S the rate fell from 6.2% in February to 6% in March.
