Trial Of Bloomfield Woman Facing 14 Counts Of Child Neglect And Endangerment Delayed Once Again

The trial of a Bloomfield woman accused of being well aware of her boyfriend’s sexual acts with the couples daughter has been delayed once again. Kendra Hoover is charged with 14 counts of Child Endangerment and Child Neglect. Her trial which was scheduled to start on November 5th, has now been set for January 7th of next year. The investigation into Hoover began last year after her live-in boyfriend Steven Crook Jr was arrested for videotaping himself sexually abusing the couple’s young daughter. Prosecutors allege that Hoover continued to leave the child alone with Crook, in which the child was abused several other times. Earlier this year, Crook pleaded guilty to four federal charges. He is currently serving a 120-year sentence in Pekin Illinois. Hoover remains free on bond pending her trial. Upon her release she has been ordered to stay away from anyone under the age of 18 including her own child.
