Three Tucson Arizona residents were arrested on Wednesday afternoon after a traffic stop in Mount Pleasant turned up two pounds of meth, two pounds of heroin and one pound of Fentanyl. Just after 3pm authorities made a stop on the vehicle in the 1200 block of North Grand Ave. While speaking with the occupants of the vehicle, officers received conflicting information as it pertained to their destination. A K-9 unit was then brought to the scene to conduct a free air sniff, which led to the finding of the drugs in the vehicle. Upon further search, Marijuana and a handgun were also located. 25 year old Antonio Rubio-Corral, 25, 21 year old Julia Robertson, and 29 year old Ismael Salazar-Montes, 29 were all taken into custody. All three have been charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver more than Five Grams of Methamphetamine, a Class B Felony and Failure to Affix a Drug Tax Stamp, a Class D Felony. The investigation into the incident remains ongoing at this time.
