An Ottumwa man and women were arrested early Wednesday morning following a traffic stop on highway 34 in Batavia. Just before 1am the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a search of a vehicle being operated by 65 year old Jack Robert Williams of Ottumwa. The search turned up both drugs and paraphernalia. Williams was taken into custody and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, 2 counts of a controlled substance, his 3rd or subsequent offense and driving while suspended, revoked or denied. or denied.
His passenger, 39 year old Amanda Leigh Farmer also of Ottumwa was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia 2 counts for possession of a controlled substance for both marijuana and meth and unlawful possession of a prescription drug or device.. Both were transported to the Jefferson County Jail.
