The Cardinal Community School District now offers students the ability to take their driver’s instruction permit test on campus. As part of the School’s partnership with the Iowa DOT. Students 14 years and older just need to notify the office that they intend to take the test.
Middle School Principal and Director of Curriculum & Instruction Cindy Green, who acts as a proctor for the permit tests then checks with the student’s parents for permission and schedules a testing time.
Tests, which can be taken once per day and attempted as many times as needed, conveniently take place during study hall.
The District feels that in addition to saving students and families time, testing on campus also allows students to take their permit test in a place where they are comfortable and familiar. Those interested can call or stop by the front office to set up an appointment.
