State Takes Over Contract Tracing, Begins Setting Vaccine Priority Groups

The State of Iowa signed a 2.3 million dollar contract with Iowa City Based Marlowe to perform contact tracing related to COVID-19, meaning Friday 12/4 will be the last day Jefferson County Public Health will be performing those duties.

Iowa is projected to receive 172,000 doses of vaccine after the Emergency Use Authorization is signed. The vaccine allocation is anticipated to arrive in staggered shipments throughout December. As it sits now, the two priority groups are Health care personnel and Residents of long-term care facilities.
