Some Fairfield Students May Still Qualify For Free Meals

It was announced earlier this year that the Federal Government will be discontinuing its free meals for all students program at the start of the 2022-2023 school year. Parents of Fairfield students who relied on the program to feed their kids while they were at school still may qualify for free or reduced meals. In order to qualify, parents must be directly certified through the State or fill out an application.  Direct Certification does not require an application, the district will receive a list from the state that will inform them who qualifies, and then the district will notify the parents through the mail. Applications that are filled out must be brought to the ACT Building, emailed or faxed. Once received, the application will be processed with the parents being notified later if they qualify.  All other fees will be the same for the 2022-2023 school year, whether the student is free, reduced or paid.
