A sentence has been handed down to a former Richland insurance agent who pleaded guilty in august to 4th degree fraudulent practices. 45 year old Renee Hill has been assessed a $315 fine and as part of a deferred judgment was placed on one year probation. Hill allegedly issued a false certificate of insurance to a customer that was later presented in support of a claim for benefits pursuant to an insurance policy. After the conclusion of the Iowa Division of Fraud Bureau’s investigation, she was arrested and charged with fraudulent practices in the 1st degree, a class “C” felony and fraudulent submissions, a class “D’ felony. In February of this year her Iowa insurance provider license was revoked. She is currently free on bond and is next set to appear in court for an arraignment on May 13th.
