Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign In Fairfield Raises Over $10K

The Salvation Army Red Kettle campaign in Fairfield this year raised $10,320. Pastor Joe Phipps from 1st Presbyterian Church who spearheads the event every year said that the amount is “Obviously lower than previous years but actually higher than I anticipated.” He added that “People were generous as always but with fewer volunteers the kettles weren’t available as much so that had a negative effect as did the lower foot traffic with folks doing online groceries.”

Still 80% of the $10,320 will help quite a few people in the community.
