Mt. Pleasant CSD Purchases Property At Iowa Wesleyan

The Mt. Pleasant Community School District Board has authorized two purchase agreements for property at Iowa Wesleyan. The board unanimously approved the purchase of the practice fields and the majority of the central campus.

For the practice fields, the district paid $115,000. According to the board,  the price of the central campus, which covers everything in the Central block of Iowa Wesleyan, came to $1,135,000.

The board has stated that these purchases will not impact the city’s taxes.
