Here is an update from Jefferson County Little League and Little League International from local president Brad Boatman. As stated previously, they are watching the Covid-19 situation closely. With Governor Reynolds now canceling school for the rest of the year, the plan and focus as a league does not change. Little League International and Jefferson County Little League still both have full intentions on playing baseball and softball this year. Ultimately the start and play dates will hinge on when Governor Reynolds lifts the ban on groups of 10 or more in the state. The league will start and run later than normal. They will adjust as needed on scheduling once we know what our start date is.
Boatman said, “I strongly urge you to take time to practice at home with your kids, so when the time comes and we start our season, the kids will need minimal practice times before games can start. If you have any questions you can email me and I will reply as soon as possible. As I have stated before, stay safe and we will see you at the ball parks as soon as it is safe to do so.”
