Larry “Bud” Miller entered this life on February 12, 1953, in Burlington, IA to Eugene and Vera Graham Miller.  He attended a two-room schoolhouse in Weaver, IA before going to high school in Ft. Madison.  Shortly after high school he met the love of his life, Sharon Meyer.   The two were married on March 2, 1973, and celebrated 50 years of marriage this year.  Together they became the proud parents of 4 children: Dustin, Philip, Scott, and Paula.  Bud worked for Rockwell International for almost 30 years.

In his younger years Bud raised and trained champion coon hounds and was featured in a hunting magazine for his success.  His love for animals and training extended beyond dogs as he also worked with horses and enjoyed participating in the ride to the Ft. Madison Rodeo.  At an early age Bud became a first responder for Lee County and worked with his dogs as a tracker for the Lee County Sherriff Dept.  He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and trapping right up until his health would no longer allow.  Bud will be missed, but will be remembered through the countless memories he left with his family and those that called him friend.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents.

Left to share his story is his living wife, Sharon Miller of Keosauqua, IA; four children, Dustin “Dude” (Jen) Miller of Mt. Pleasant, Philip “Flip” (Kathleen) Miller of Bonaparte, IA, Paula (Robert) Kirchner of Donnellson, IA, and Scott (Kandice) Miller of Stockport, IA; two sisters, Jo Ann and Penny, as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many friends.
