A joint Investigation involving the Fairfield Police Department, Jefferson and Henry County Sheriff offices has led to the arrest of a Mount Pleasant man and two juveniles. Early this month Henry County deputies responded to the report of a business that was burglarized on South Main Street in Salem. Upon arrival deputies found that whoever committed the act had entered through a window and stolen items.
Following an investigation, 18 year old Daniel Rice of Mount Pleasant was charged with 3rd-degree burglary, 4th-degree criminal mischief and 5th-degree theft. The two juveniles face the same charges.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and Fairfield Police Department became involved after a vehicle that was reported stolen in Jefferson County was spotted in the Mount Pleasant area. A joint investigation into related local burglaries involving the three subjects is ongoing.
