Last month, Jefferson County Farmers and Neighbors received a grant that they now plan to use to expand the organization’s work throughout the state. Executive Director Diane Rosenberg will now work with JFAN full-time due to the new funding. However, the grant only covers Rosenberg’s transition to full-time. Rosenberg plans to detect any additional funding to expand her work on the state level, conduct the organization’s training programs, and advocating for a moratorium on factory farms. The grant came from a private foundation.
