On Monday, the Jefferson County Supervisors passed a resolution that will reclassify 205th St West of Hemlock Avenue to a class “C” Road.” This designation will block access of the road to the public, except for property owners in the area, county maintenance, and the Sherriff’s department. This decision comes after years of area residents dumping their trash where an old bridge once stood.
Also at the meeting, the Supervisors discussed the possibility of placing an Ambulance Service for the county inside the former First National Bank building located at 1900 W Burlington. It was also suggested by the County Sheriff that an ambulance service could possibly be placed behind the Jefferson County law center. Supervisors will be meeting with an architect on Wednesday to discuss their options.
