The Jefferson County Board Of Supervisors will keep virtual meetings available for the foreseeable future as they feel that it provides better public access for those wishing to view or review in search of information. A discussion was also held on how or to whom $3.5M in American Rescue funds should be dispersed. Possibilities include Emergency Management communications tower project that must be done within the next 5 years and additional space for Public Health.
The board is expected to meet with department heads to review 5 year plans to conclude if any projects or needs would take precedence. The supervisors also voted to send a letter of response to the City of Fairfield in regards to the Dispatch Center and the 28E agreement between the City and County. The letter is expected to include a request to meet with the City Council in either mid June or July.
