On Monday, the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) was notified of 534 additional positive cases for a total of 9,703 positive cases.
According to IDPH 188 Iowans have died and 3,486 have recovered. At this time, 1 in 59 Iowans have already been tested.
Of those new cases reported none were from Jefferson, Van Buren or Keokuk Counties. Henry, Davis and Washington Counties each reported one additional case, Henry is now at 34, Davis County 2 and Washington 149 including 7 deaths. Wapello County continues to surge reporting 26 new cases for a total of 94, including their 1st death over the weekend, an older adult 61-80 years of age. It was also announced on Monday by the Wapello County Fair that the 2020 Wapello County Fair has been cancelled. The Jefferson County fair board will meet next Wednesday to discuss if the 2020 fair will be held.
