Jefferson County Compensation Board Proposes 3.5% Salary Increase For Elected Officials

Each year the Jefferson County Compensation Board, made up of 7 members, makes a recommendation to the Jefferson County Board Of Supervisors on how much, if any, salaries increase for County elected officials. Last year the recommended raise was 3%, this year an increase of 3.5% has been proposed. The proposed figure is for County Sheriff, Recorder, Treasurer, auditor and County Attorney. 3.5% would be the cap as the Board of Supervisors can only approve that figure or one lower.
