The Jefferson County Ambulance Board met yesterday afternoon for mediation with CARE ambulance regarding CARE’s ability to fulfill it’s contract. Under the terms of mediation, CARE has agreed to provide the county with two ALS ambulances, one for 24 hours and the other being a standby rig that will be able to respond to a call within 15 minutes. Effectively fulfilling its contract. With members of the ambulance board agreeing to pay CARE $360,000.
