An investigation that began in October has led to the arrest of two Ottumwa men. In October a Wapello County Deputy and his K-9 came into contact with a vehicle that resulted in the seizure of 28 grams of meth. As a result of further investigation by the Iowa inter-Agency Drug Task Force 57 year old David Lemley and 33 year old Hector Iglesias-Tobar both of Ottumwa were arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver more than 5 grams of meth, a class “B” felony and failure to affix a drug tax stamp, a class “D” felony. Iglesias-Tobar was also charged with carrying weapons, an aggravated misdemeanor. The overall investigation led to the seizure of about 3.5 pounds of meth, over $35,000 in cash, several firearms and other items consistent with the distribution of meth.
