Help Keep Warm This Winter By Applying For LIHEAP Program, Local Assistance Available

Iowan’s needing help staying warm this winter may now apply for The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program also known as LIHEAP. The program is federally-funded and is designed to assist low income families in meeting the cost of home heating by providing a one-time payment to the heating utility.

Homeowners and renters are eligible, within the federal poverty guidelines. Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis from November 1st  through April 30th of each year.
