Fairfield Native With More Than 3 Decades Serving Iowa National Guard Recently Promoted

A Fairfield native with more than 33 years of service in the Iowa National Guard was recently promoted during a ceremony at the Guard’s Joint Forces Headquarters in Johnston. Lt. Col. Donald Mosinski, a 1985 graduate of Fairfield high school was promoted to Colonel during the ceremony.

Mosinski, who currently resides in Audubon with his wife and 3 children has held several titles over the years including commander for the 185th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, distribution management division chief at the Joint Forces Headquarters, and support operations officer of the 248th Aviation Support Battalion in Boone.

Mosinski has also deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan.
