The Fairfield Fire Department was a recipient of a community grant from the Alliant Energy foundation as part of their fall cycle. The Department was one of 139 awardees, that totaled around $345,000.
The Fairfield Department received $1,000 for a 4 gas monitor. The Monitors are used to continuously evaluate a worker’s environment for multiple gas hazards. It also provides comprehensive gas detection coverage for complex working environments when there is a risk of injury, illness or death from potentially toxic or explosive ambient gases.
