The Little Mermaid | 2023 Summer Camp at Fairfield Arts & Convention Center | Final Performance
Celebrating our 50th year of touring, the Missoula Children’s Theatre International Tour has fostered developmental life skills in more than a million kids. Prior to Covid, we worked with 65,000 children in more than 1,100 communities in all 50 states and 17 countries each year. Our reach is increasing once again, but like all performing arts organizations, Covid-19 has had a devastating impact on our budget. One of the many ways the Missoula Children’s Theatre remains vibrant is through generous donors all over the world. If you would like to help support MCT, GIVE online by visiting MCTinc.org or via text by texting “MCTGive” to 44321. “Guess what? I made it…I’m in the play!”

On stage or behind the scenes, your children are STARS! We invite you to honor that experience with a “star” in the MCT Galaxy, located in MCT headquarters in Missoula, MT! To see a sample of the MCT Galaxy and learn more about this exciting way to celebrate your star and support MCT, search “galaxy” in the search bar on our website. Stars are only $50 and can be customized with a name, the memory you wish to commemorate, date and location. Missoula Children’s Theatre 200 N.  THE LITTLE MERMAID SYNOPSIS Deep in the salty waters of the Sassafras Sea, there lived a Little Mermaid. Her name was Celia. She lived for music. In fact, it was said that she had the loveliest scales in all of the Deep. Celia and her three sisters were allowed one visit to the World Above, each on their sixteenth birthday, to learn the secrets of life on dry land. Their discoveries included ferocious dragons, advancing armies and, of course, a handsome and resourceful Prince Charming. In a new version of the age-old tale, lots of music, plot surprises and humor await the audience.
WAYNE & NAN KOCOUREK Wayne and Nan Kocourek, of Chicago, Illinois recently provided a gift to the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center to support the future of the Sondheim Summer Camp, which is now completing its eight year. Mrs. Kocourek, formerly of Fairfield, and her husband, made the contribution in memory of her parents, Robert and Evelyn Gamrath, in honor of their many years of service and dedication to Fairfield and to ensure the future of the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center. The Summer Camp at the Sondheim is now named in honor of Evelyn Gamrath, wife of Bob Gamrath and mother of Bob Gamrath, Jr., Kathyrn Carpenter, Nan Kocourek and Tom Gamrath. Evelyn Gamrath was a long-time junior high choral director, collegiate and church choral director, and had a passion to teach children and instill in them the love of the arts.
