“A Holiday to Remember”
December 2 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
$25
If you are a fan of ABC’s Nashville, The Good Fight on CBS, or The Blacklist on NBC, this is your opportunity to see a familiar face, David Alford. This is a must-see performance of Truman Capote’s “A Christmas Memory” and “The Thanksgiving Visitor” with original Christmas music by Paul Carrol Binkley and ensemble.
The largely autobiographical story, takes place in the 1930s, describes a period in the lives of the seven-year-old narrator and an elderly woman who is his distant cousin and best friend. The woman was Nanny Faulk, elder sister of the household where Truman Capote’s wayward parents deposited him as a young boy. The story focuses on country life, friendship, and the joy of giving during the Christmas season.
This one-and-a-half-hour performance promises to be a highlight of Fairfield’s holiday season.
