Court Of Appeals Rules That Wapello County Man Will Remain Behind Bars

The Iowa Court of Appeals has ruled that a Wapello County man, convicted of enticing a minor will remain behind bars as a sexually violent predator. As an 18 year old in 2014 Austin Keck was convicted of sexual misconduct with a then 14 year old girl. Originally his 5 year sentence was suspended , however he continued to message underage females, violating the terms of his probation. Due to the violations he was ordered to serve out the remainder of his sentence. The courts ruled that he suffers from mental abnormalities and would more likely engage in sexually violent offences if he were to be released. Keck is currently serving his time at the Iowa Medical and Classification Center in Coralville. (Photo Courtesy Of KTVO)
