The Jefferson County Board Of Supervisors met in a regular session on Tuesday morning where they Met with the County Engineer Scott Cline who informed them that there may be some additional road funding in the near future if the State approves Covid relief funding that would provide a financial boost for Farm to Market and the special road fund or SRF. Cline said the funding would be for this fiscal year, with the County receiving around $77K for Farm to Market and just over $219K for the SRF.
Cline added this also applies to incorporated Cities within the County. A final decision is expected in around the next month or so.
Also at the meeting the board said that they haven’t made a final decision for Setting a public hearing date related to the property tax proposal, they are expected to work on details during Wednesday morning’s work session to be held at 9am.
