Beginning this week at the Cardinal Community School district face coverings will be optional. Cardinal students and employees will still be encouraged but not be required to wear a mask after the Board approved the change last week. The District whose final day is set for May 26th, will still abide by quarantine protocols if a positive case or cases of Covid are experienced at the school.
Also in the event of graduations or school concerts, events held indoors with a larger crowd, the policy will revert back.
If positive cases were to appear within the district or spike in Wapello County, the Board would meet again to reconsider their position.
