Brighton Man Back Behind Bars, Could Face Further Time

A Brighton man is back behind bars for allegedly violating terms of his parole after authorities  executed a warrant just after 10am Tuesday morning. 27-year old Jessy Lee Armstrong of Brighton is currently serving 5 years probation that stemmed from a domestic incident that took place back in the fall of 2019.

Armstrong was convicted just about one year ago on charges of possession of a firearm by a domestic abuse offender, a class D felony, and domestic abuse assault, his 2nd offense, a serious misdemeanor.

He is currently being held in the Washington County Jail on a $5,000 cash only bonded. If bonded, the potential for a more lengthy stay behind bars is possible given the current probation violation and that he was also given a suspended five year prison sentence as part of last February’s conviction.
