The Jefferson County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Monday morning where they approved an agreement with the Iowa DOT for the DOT project to HMA resurface Highway 1 South of Fairfield. The Board also approved extending a resolution establishing temporary safety protocols on certain county owned property until Thursday April 1st.
A discussion was also held regarding a recent conversation with the city about the fire station and it’s future site. Currently the fire Station is housed with Public Health, a building which the County owns. Public Health Administrator Chris Estle requested that if the Public Health offices were to move she would appreciate it if they had some form of input or guidance as it relates to their future location. Throughout the remainder of the week, the Board will continue to meet with individual County Departments regarding the Fiscal Year 2022 Budget.
