The Jefferson County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Monday morning with a light agenda. At the meeting the Board discussed and Considered contractor bids for nuisance properties. After the discussion the Board awarded the contract to Chittick Tilling out of Ollie at a total bid price of $28,490. The bid is for two properties, one off of Cedar Ave and the other at Brookville & Abingdon.
The County expects to cite other properties in the near future, however with the Supreme Court Postponing Jury Trials until February, Assistant County Attorney Pat McAvan said that there is the possibility some of these nuisances get held up in Civil court from the effects of Covid, which may require multiple notices to be provided.
