Authorities Asking For Help In Determining What Happened To Anamosa Woman

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in trying to determine what happened to a woman, whose body was found August 9th in a farm field near Wayland. The State Medical Examiners Office conducted an autopsy on 29 year old Brandy Mae Shepard-Margita of Anamosa, however a cause of death was unable to be determined. Toxicology testing is still being performed at this time. This is a joint investigation by both the Henry County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, who continues to work all leads on the case. Anyone with any information is asked to contact either agency.
