Anita Norris was born on January 9, 1945, in Texas to Frezell and Ruby Mae Lowe Milliman.  She attended McClennan Community College where she studied Early Childhood Education.  Anita worked hard all her life and had many different jobs.  Her main career was an over the road truck driver.  She traveled the roads of this country for almost 30 years until her retirement three years ago.  She had most recently hauled for Russell Capps.  Her trucker friends referred to her as “Flat Foot Granny” because she would pass everyone in their group.  Anita cared deeply for her family and loved taking the girls for pedicures.  She always supported her grands and great grands softball, baseball, or any activity they were in.  She enjoyed playing dominos with her friends and was never too full for a nice bowl of ice cream.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Danny Norris; two daughters, Anita Robertson and Angela Bell; a nephew, Jody Bell, and three sisters, Margaret, Reta, and Glenda.

Left to honor her memory is her daughter, Sheila Vaughn (Nevin Bouschlicher) of Martinsburg, IA; five grandchildren, Kandis DeWitt, Katrina (Ben) Cope, Dale (Kathryn) Robertson, Dustin (Brittany) Robertson, and Josey Bell; fourteen great grandchildren, Korbin, Oliver, Clark, Aubrey, Sullivan, Makenzie, Macie, Madison, Kaiden, Cooper, Teagon, Jaxson, Kaydence, and Wyatt, as well as many extended family and friends.
