2nd Annual “Walk For Nohema” Will Take Place On April 22nd

The Second Annual “Walk for Nohema” will take place on Saturday, April 22, in Chautauqua Park. The walk will remember the late Nohema Graber, a Spanish teacher at FHS from 2012 until her passing at age 66 in 2021. The Walk for Nohema will take place from 10 a.m. to noon, and juice will be supplied. Prior to the event, T-shirts will be available for purchase. A silent auction will also be held at 11:45 a.m. Clubs, corporations, families, and organizations are donating baskets for the silent auction.

The proceeds from the walk will be used to fund Graber’s memorial scholarship. The walk coincides with the Trojan Athletic Boosters’ fundraiser clothing sale, which will take place at the high school from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the same day. According to Heidi Grunwald, the Student Council advisor, the school generated $12,000 the previous year through contributions and fundraising associated with the Walk for Nohema.

Contact [email protected] if you would like more information. Inclement weather will cause the event to be moved to Fairfield High School.
