An Ottumwa man arrested on March 11th after attempting to swim away from Ottumwa Police following a theft incident at a tractor supply store is now accused of stealing a Corvette Stingray the day prior to his arrest.
35 year old Tanner Rash was taken into custody last week after a match in fingerprint analysis came back from the State DCI Lab. Ottumwa Officers discovered the vehicle abandoned before noticing it had been burglarized.
During the course of the investigation, the vehicle and the property from where it was reported stolen were processed by the Wapello County Sheriff’s Office, where evidence was sent to the State for the analysis to be conducted.
Rash is charged with Burglary in the 3rd Degree, to go along with 1st and 2nd degree theft. He was transported to the Davis County Jail on unrelated charges.
