Makenzie Zeitler New Girls Basketball Coach At Cardinal

Former Van Buren standout Makenzie Zeitler signed a contract Wednesday to take the girls basketball head coaching position at Cardinal High School. Athletic Director Chris Becker said the Comets are really excited to make the announcement. Mackenzie has been on the Van Buren staff the last few seasons, working for her father Matt Zeitler. She was an All-State basketball player at Van Buren then had over 1000 points and 1000 rebounds at Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids.

Makenzie’s mother Lori Greiner Eads is a Cardinal High School graduate and excelled in many sports. Eads is the current Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Albia High School.
