Fairfield Middle School Students Help American Heart Association

The Jump Rope for Heart recently took place at Fairfield Middle School. Many 5th through 8th graders participated and raised a total of 3207 dollars and 94 cents. Top individuals included:
5th grader Cody Gazaway 118
8th grader Whitney Estle 115
6th graders Paige Bisgard and Bryttany Tucker plus Isabel McCready and Brody Phillips both in the 5th grade 100 apiece
5th grade student Bailey Tucker 80

Others getting at least 50 dollars:
Serenzo Velazquez and Lily McDow both in the 5th grade 75 each
8th graders Macy Rayburn and Maggie Rayburn 60 apiece
Iris Lane from 5th grade 52
5th graders Faith Jones and Iris Lane each raised 50

Money goes to the American Heart Association funding research, programs and education to fight heart disease and strokes, the number one and 4 causes of death nationally each year. Many 6th through 8th graders have signed up for the round robin basketball tournament called Hoops for Heart at the Fairfield Middle School on Wednesday March 13th to bring in more money.
