Ottumwa Gets By Fairfield In Girls Basketball

The Class 5A 12th rated Ottumwa varsity girls basketball team took a 50-46 home win over 4A number 9 Fairfield Tuesday night. Lily Anderson led the way with 12 rebounds, 11 points, 8 blocks and 4 assists. Grace Bookin-Nosbisch provided 10 points, 6 boards, 2 assists and 2 steals. Alli Bookin-Nosbisch totaled 10 points and 3 steals. Kaylee Bix had 7 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. All her scoring came during the 4th quarter including a 3 pointer that broke a late tie at 44. Morgan Greiner added 6 points and 5 rebounds. The Bulldogs are 3 and 1 on the season.

Shay Drish paced Fairfield netting 16 points. Destiny Gridley scored 10. Ashley Bloomquist racked up 9 points and 7 rebounds. Kara Jeffrey scored 9. Malory Jones grabbed 5 boards. Fairfield now has a record of 2 and 2.
