Grassley Visits Fairfield

Iowa United States Senator Chuck Grassley was in Southeast Iowa Friday morning. After a visit with Kiwanians in Ottumwa, Grassley made a stop at Agri-Industrial Plastics to hold a Town Hall style Q and A session with employees. The questions ranged from the North Korean threat to taxes, education and President Trump. Grassley stated that Trump is the first President in many years that isn’t either a career politician or military figure and deserves time on the learning curve.
On education, Grassley said he favors a partnership between industry and High Schools and Community Colleges that would provide students necessary skills and job placement after achieving a degree.
Grassley has served in the US Senate since 1981.
